01 Heavenly Stryke
Lightening in a bottle? Not street, not money bag chasing, no redrum, just good vibes. Sometimes feeling like triumph is right there next to you, just turn and look. Heavenlystryke a.k.a Wilkie a.pk.a (also prolly known as), Grandmas baby- dropped his first album on streaming in 2022 titled 'Keep Living!!!' on 2/22/22. The album speaks about battling with alcohol on a self-aware, with some dark humor, vibes. It sounds like, overcome! If there is one thing that I love about Heavenlystrke's artistry is that his vulnerability but you can hear the self evolution through his memory of the 90's, in his lyrics.
You can tell he's a traditional guy, who recognized self and kept moving. His music has personally, made me laugh, cry, get through the grief. I had to please sure of photographing Heavenlystryke for his 'NLP' album drop in 2025, and he's just as fun as he seems on his single 'Mud Master'. His witty and wondering song titles like; Gleek, SCUTI, or one that was super heartfelt, Honey Mustard. "Support my friends just like a prop, if I can" - Heavenlystryke. Proud of you!

C.A.D.E.T, the Living Legend
An East coast artist out of D.C., by the name, Cadet, has become one of my favorite artists to listen to and so quick at that. He has an extensive musical portfolio, with his last album release being 2021, 'Perspective', he has an nice body of work for you to go back and listen to. His latest video, 'WHO' which I had the pleasure of being on set to get the BTS, is a self reflecting single. Cadet is a great story teller, whom most people can relate to when it comes to; chasing your dreams, coming out the struggle and still being your best self at the end of the day. Standing with morals and respect. The lyrics asks specific questions in such a melodic way, you low key think he speaking to you about yourself or somebody you know. Off of the 'Perspective' album, I have a few favorite joints on there; Bounce, Dear Self, and Moon and Stars -(has such reminder of a ride n' chill). LaRussell
LaRussell just signed to RocNation and has been caught up in a web of things since the news released. We're focusing only on the artist. LaRussell has out over 10 albums independently, dating back to at least 2018. His first album was titled of The Field Effect with the popular singles "Do That Lil Dance You be Doing" which attracted me and made me do a deep dive through his musical portfolio. Soup & Crackas solidified it for me though. The Bay-Area artist uses "pay what you want" or Direct to Consumer, way to share his music. I love that, and the money goes right to him and none of the execs that just utilize our vibrations for toxicity and to ruin the minds of the youth. LaRussells newest album release is titled Something In the Water, has features from Lil Jon, with the hyphy sounds If you wanna listen to somn peaceful, bopful, loving and for the Community- the cousins at Good Compenny gon have it. Everytime!

I would like to introduce you to Esoderic. Another griot photographer on the list of faves for me. He releases in the form of mixtapes but with photographs. Dabbling on the scene of Dj'ing and yoga, and other multimedia art forms, you can find him on the CP scenes in Durham, NC. He released exhibition pieces titled 'Just Bee' and you can purchase those prints through his IG: Esoderic3. Eso's light shines even brighter when capturing emotions in motion. A fearless explorer, self portrait taking, recognizing that he, himself, is the art piece, welcoming everything around him to be art as well.
