Smino aka De Grigio aka Smi' Du Bois, aka Smi'lon Musk; has released classics from 'BlkSwn', 'NOIR', 'Luv 4 Rent' with features from J.Cole, EPs like 'S!ck, S!ck, S!ck' and more. I just want to take a minute as a longtime listener and concert goer of Smino, my bouquet of flowers. Acknowledge my Smi'ver fever. One of the most clever wordsmiths and artist of the 90's upbringing. Heart felt vibes, his melodies dance in vibrant chakra colors. C.A.D.E.T, the Living Legend
D.C.'s own, Cadet, has become one of my favorite artists to listen to and so quick at that. He has an extensive musical portfolio, with his last album release being 2021, 'Perspective', he has plenty for you to go back and listen to. His latest video, 'WHO' which I had the pleasure of being on set to get the BTS, is a self reflecting single. The lyrics asks specific questions, to in such a melodic way, you low key think he talking to you or somebody you know- yourself. Off of the 'Perspective' album, I have a few favorite joints on there; Bounce, Dear Self, and Moon and Stars (has such reminder of a ride n' chill). Check him out on Tidal: Cadet The Living Legend

I would like to introduce you to Esoderic. Another griot photographer on the list of faves for me. He releases in the form of mixtapes but with photographs. Dabbling on the scene of Dj'ing and yoga, and other multimedia art forms, you can find him on the CP scenes in Durham, NC. A fearless explorer, self portrait taking, recognizing that he, himself, is the art piece, welcoming everything around him to be art as well.
